A Combination of Avant-Garde Installation Art and Graceful Elegancy

The uniqueness of this project lies in the application of modern art to interior design, creating new and captivating images for the space. One of the standout features is the iron screen at the entranceway, which provides a visual feast for the residents. Every minute detail is filled with movement and surprise, transforming the space into a modern art masterpiece.

Chung-Li Chen, known for her sensitivity to fabrics and clothes, has focused on the fabrics of the main couches in the living room. The choice of grey, a color devoid of emotion, combined with linens, silk cloth, and flannelette, creates a striking yet understated feature for the couches.

The design team's attention to detail extends to every aspect of the space. As Chung-Li Chen explains, "The atmosphere of the space is created by integrating every individual item into grand majestic aesthetics." Each piece of furniture and decoration has a significant impact on the overall ambiance.

The project, spanning 132 square meters, was completed in May 2016 in Taichung City, Taiwan. The design concept was inspired by the principle of simplicity and straightforwardness, particularly catering to career women. The kitchen, for example, features a small artificial stone dining table and chairs, creating a modern and uncluttered configuration.

The challenges faced during the design process were overcome with ingenuity and creativity. The greenery park, true colors of stones, rhombus iron grilles, and rough wooden veneers contribute to a living style reminiscent of the Newman houses before the central park. Located in the heart of the city, where rainbow lights twinkle, this residence embraces the natural environment and promotes a peaceful mindset.

The Native Nature Under Rainbow Light residence has been recognized for its excellence and innovation. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2017. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate outstanding creativity, resourcefulness, and technical skills, contributing to improvements in quality of life.
